The Friends of Roselawn Centre’s 5th Annual Christmas Market, held Sunday, November 12, 2017, was a big success! There was a steady stream of holiday shoppers from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. The market featured both established and up-and-coming artisans from Port Colborne and the surrounding Niagara area. Over 30 vendors were scattered throughout the Roselawn Centre from the theatre to the mansion.
This year’s market had a vast array of craft media including stained-glass, paintings, clothing, jewelry, folk-craft ornaments, woodworking and homemade chocolates. The bake sale, which raised money directly for the operating funds of the Friends of Roselawn Centre, featured a variety of delights and a large selection of ‘gluten-free’ goodies. Doug Mundy, who was generously sponsored by the City of Port Colborne, entertained the crowds on the grand piano. And Prancer the reindeer made his rounds delighting both young and old.
The door prize table featured a handmade dollhouse, gift certificates from Bremfield’s, The Mill Greenhouse and Arbonne. A big thank-you to all of our vendors, all of our volunteers who helped to make this event possible and to all the guests who came out to support our efforts!
