The Friends of Roselawn Centre event team sends our heartfelt thank you for supporting our ‘Evening for Roselawn‘ gala event in March 2018. We are pleased to say that through the positive backing of our volunteers, sponsors and donors, we have met our Capital Campaign pledge of $50,000, which will be used for Roselawn renovations in conjunction with the monies from the City of Port Colborne and the Canada 150 Federal grant.
Thanks to our committed volunteers who assisted us in organizing the gala, from registration to serving appetizers. We would also like to thank Jacquie and Bill at Jericho House, Gail Todd our dynamic Master of Ceremonies, Frank Krahn who delighted us on the piano again this year, Megan Bennett who entertained us with a live painting demonstration, and Caroline’s Caricatures, always a crowd favourite.
Thank you to all of our wonderful South Niagara artists who submitted and auctioned their work. What an incredible community of talent we have! We would also like to thank David Drum, Port Colborne Art Club and Casino Niagara for donating items to the silent auction. And a big thanks also to the young artists from Port Colborne and Wainfleet who participated in our first ever Young Artists Contest this year.
Thank you also to local businesses who donated amazing door prizes including Showboat Theatre, Whisky Run Golf Club, Tuck Jewellers, The Smokin’ Buddha, Maple Meadows Farm & Event Centre, Arbonne, Reif Estate Winery, Arlie’s Florist & Gift Shop, and the Flying Squirrel.
